Mother Nature must have missed the memo about the first day of fall. Holy cow, is it hot out! The humidity, the stickiness...I'm really not a fan. It seems almost too warm out to start enjoying some of the fall treats that have started to pop up. Note that I said almost.
Last week I purchased a box of Van Houtte Pumpkin Pie coffee, in preparation for the beginning of fall. To me, fall = pumpkin anything and everything. I love the flavor of pumpkin SO much that I have pumpkin pie for my February birthday...instead of cake.
Pumpkin Pie is a new flavor for Van Houtte, from what I can tell. I've had their Macadamia Nut, Spicy Mayan Chocolate, Swiss Chocolate Almond, and many other varieties and have been a big fan, so I had great expectations for their latest and greatest flavor.
They didn't let me down.
Unlike some other pumpkin coffees I've had in the past, the spiciness of the coffee didn't overwhelm the pumpkin flavor. It truly tastes like pumpkin pie with a strong pumpkin flavor and a subtle spicy undertone. Magnifico!
This will probably be the first of many fall inspired products I buy this fall. What are your favorite fall indulgences?
