Year End Exercise Challenge/Running Streak Update

Hello, friends.  Today is day 14 of my run streak or year end exercise challenge.  (31 days to go!) Since I started my streak I've run in two races and have logged 41.5 miles or about 3 miles a day.  To my friends who run ultras (ahem) this is a pretty wimpy distance.  Heck, 6 months ago I would have thought this is a wimpy distance.  But for me right now, still getting back into the swing of things after my stress fracture this summer, that's a good number.  I've slowly been upping my distance since I was cleared to run again, and I'm happy to finally be over the 20 miles per week mark.

Before this streak started, I hadn't run more than 4 days in a row, so I was pretty nervous about how my body would react.  So far so good!  Despite being more tired than normal, which I think is to be expected because on days where I do shorter runs I cross train and lift, I'm feeling good.  I'm eating better.  I'm feeling better about myself.  And I think I'm getting myself back into good running shape.  (which is good because my weekly base mileage is only going to go up from here)

I look forward to keeping the streak alive, seeing a smaller number on the scale eventually, and being able to more comfortably wear my dress pants.
