Better late than never - vegan dinner tonight at Bistro 185

After being out of town for two weeks, I feel so "out" of the local food scene.  Which is why I almost missed hearing about a vegan dinner being held tonight (02/10/10) at Bistro 185.  Chef Jakub Mejstrik will be whipping up some of his delicious vegan fare - massaman curry with tofu and organic basmati brown rice - for $16.  If all goes well, there will be a vegan dinner monthly.  Exciting, right?  This gives me an excuse to check out Bistro 185 now...in the past I was hesitant to go there because it's a pretty meaty place...but I've had Chef Mejstrik's food before (he's provided the vegan soup and fake chicken paprikash for Berea ARF fund-raiser events in the past) and have been very impressed.  I'm excited to try some of his other vegan entrees, if not tonight, hopefully at next month's event.  Stupid blizzard.
