Have you heard? The bird is the word. Not really. The word is that Cleveland's only completely vegan eatery - The Flaming Ice Cube - is holding a grand opening celebration this Saturday - November 13, 2010 - from 11 am until 9pm. (Click here to view more information on the event's Facebook page.)
I'm ashamed to say that I haven't been to the Cleveland Flaming Ice Cube just yet. (I have been to the Youngstown location...omg SO good!) It's downtown in Public Square - a place I never go to. I've been meaning to go...but now I have an even better excuse to drag myself downtown since there will be free samples, an art showing, and live music.
Even if you aren't a vegan, please consider checking out The Flaming Ice Cube. The life expectancy of restaurants downtown isn't so great, especially independently owned restaurants, and I'd really like to see this vegan restaurant make a go of it. (and try the Italian sandwich - you'll love it!)
