Quenched my Appetite

I felt the urge to escape from cubicle land this afternoon and sought out somewhere new to enjoy a sandwich. I typically go to Roly Poly at least 3 times a week, and since I'd eaten there yesterday, I decided to give Appetite a try. Located on Mayfield Road in a nondescript shopping plaza, Appetite is a nice little deli with plenty of vegetarian options. Appetite offers traditional deli fare - sandwiches, salads, breakfast goodies, etc., but also offers a hearty bakery menu.

I had the Caprese Grill sandwich with a side of pesto pasta salad. I was very pleased with both. I wish I'd had time to enjoy the nice sit down area inside the deli which seemed to have a few regulars lounging about. There was some neat artwork above the booths, too, adding to the somewhat quirky ambiance.

Overall, I was very pleased with my excursion into the outside world. But I have to say, the main thing that prompted my visit was Appetite's new website. I personally try to not patronize restaurants/bars that don't have a website. Snobby? Yes. But practical for a vegetarian who needs to know whether she'll starve or not by going to a certain place? Also yes.
