Vegetarian Friendly Food at Progressive Field

No man is a failure who has friends. - It's a Wonderful Life

So as of today, I've been living on my own for 4 days. Feels more like 400, honestly.  But...thanks to my amazingly supportive friends, it has been a lot less awful than I was expecting.  Before things fell apart in my relationship, I had a pretty busy social life, but I'd put that all on hold to see if my ex and I could work things out.  And if you read my blog you know how that goes.  But whatevs.

Last night, I had the opportunity to go to an Indians game for the first time this season.  (better late than never, huh?)  One of my friends had gotten club seat tickets from work.  Being the non-sports fan that I am, the phrase "club seats" meant literally nothing to me.  What I should have realized is that it means "gluttony fest."

Pretty much everything but alcohol is free in the club seat area.  They serve all of your standard stadium food - hot dogs, burgers, pizza, peanuts...but they also had things like vegetable Napoleon.  Salad.  Orzo.  Real fancy pants type food.  I indulged in some pizza (it was alright), the vegetable Napoleon (again, just ok), some chips and salsa (I may turn into a nacho chip one day),  and popcorn (because it's one of my favorite foods ever).  It was an epic feast.  My friends noshed on peanuts, ice cream, and much, much more.  (except my vegan friend - they had plenty of vegetarian food for me - but hardly anything vegan for him).

Since the Indians aren't doing all that hot right now (the battle for last place!), the stadium was pretty empty.  Slider managed to make his (her?) way up to where we were sitting.  My friends were too cool to get their pictures taken, but...not me!  Slider plopped right down on my lap after doing a but wiggle in my face. He/she was incredibly light - which led me to believe that Slider is a female or a really skinny guy.  Then Slider hung out with us for a bit and had his arm around me.  Strange but kind of cool.

I'm really glad I got a chance to go to a game this season.  And I'm even more glad that I got out of the funk I've been in and got to have a great night!
