Stalking the Dim and Den Sum food truck

Dear readers, you may have thought that I met some sort of untimely demise.  But I was merely hit with a bad case of "I don't have anything to say right now so I'm not going to blog."

But it's summer.  There are all kinds of exciting food related events going on.  And I'm feeling chatty again.

My most recent food related adventure has been hunting down the Dim and Den Sum roving food truck during lunch.  Spotted here there and everywhere around town (as noted on the Dim and Den Sum Twitter and Facebook pages), you can find this hard to miss truck everywhere from Mayfield Village to Tremont serving up tasty (although probably not so healthy) treats.  Part of the appeal of this truck is that the menu changes weekly and upcoming stops/serving locations are announced online, so you have to do your homework if you want some tasty Dim and Den Sum grub.

I've had the opportunity to locate the truck twice so far, thanks to working for a large company with ample space for the truck to park.  Although the menu changes weekly (which makes stalking the truck all that much more exciting), there is always a vegetarian "entree" option, if you will, and delicious tater tots.  (note - the tots are sometimes slathered in things that aren't so vegetarian friendly and substitutions aren't allowed, so be sure to check the menu before you order, ok?)  My first Dim and Den Sum truck stalking experience left me with a delicious goat cheese, almond and asparagus salad.  Great tasting, but kind of difficult to eat as "street food."  My latest adventure (which included tailgating out of a co-worker's mini van) included food a bit easier to eat on the go - tofu tacos and the aforementioned tots.  I could have eaten a truckload of tots and tacos...but it was lunchtime on a weekday, and I was surrounded by co-workers.

Every week Dim and Den Sum's creations get more inventive.  They posted about serving sushi pops in the near future...I can't wait to give those a try.  Have you had a chance to track down the food truck?  If so, I'd love to hear what you thought about it.
